Hangin' Up The Cape

I used to think I was perfect—superwoman, in fact. Then life reminded me that I’m not.

I used to think I was perfect—superwoman, in fact. Then life reminded me that I’m not.

All I ever wanted to do is save the world. Then, Jesus reminded me He already did that.

All I ever wanted to do is save the world. Then, Jesus reminded me He already did that.

After an age-old battle against my humanity, God gave me the courage to hang up my cape.

After an epic battle against my own humanity, God gave me the courage to hang up the cape. This left me exhausted, vulnerable, doubtful, afraid, self-seeking and empty. But, God had a plan for my brokenness.

"So if the Son sets you free, you are free through and through."

Now, I laugh at the girl I once was. I finally understand that I don’t want my fantasy life. I want the life God planned for me…flaws and all.
